Why a festival?
The purpose of Smart Yard Festivals is to bring together a community of impassioned people to impart knowledge, raise awareness, share experiences, demonstrate stewardship, and set people up for success on their path to a certified Tennessee Smart Yard.
Who is involved?
Hosting a festival requires a dedicated champion and committed volunteers. The state Smart Yards team will be there to assist. There is also support available for participating Smart Yards Communities through the Community Action Grants.
How to get started?
Reach out to your County Extension Office to talk about options. Consider attending an upcoming festival to get involved!
