Common Name:  Prairie Parsley, Nuttall’s Prairie Parsley

Full to part sun; moderately dry to dry moisture level; loamy, rocky or sandy soil.  2 ft. height, blooms in summer, yellow flowers.

Germination Code: C(120) or M.   Slow to develop after germinating.

Native Region:  Only in McNairy, Robertson and Davidson counties

Designated a “Threatened Species” in Tennessee.  Member of the Carrot Family and has a deep taproot.  Most attractive when its fruits reach their showy yellow stage.  Rarely found in disturbed areas and is an indicator plant for areas of intact native vegetation.  Short-lived.  Attracts bees and butterflies and is a larval host for the Black Swallowtail butterfly.
