Common Name: Twinleaf

Light shade, medium moisture level, rich humusy soil, circumneutral pH.  8-18 inches height, blooms in spring, white flowers.

Germination Code:  L.  Seeds quickly lose variability in storage.

Native Region:  Middle and East Tennessee

Foliage is the main attraction of this plant.  Each leaf is divided into two nearly separate leaflets that look like butterfly wings.  Petals of flower are extremely fragile and often drop at the first gust of wind or rain shower.  Use summer mulch to keep roots cool.
