Full sun to full shade, medium to moderately dry moisture level, tolerant of wide range of soils, moderately acid to neutral pH.  2-3 ft. height, blooms in summer, white flowers, reseeds nicely over time.

Easy to grow from seed, and showy flowers make a nice addition to a woodland planting.Very showy plant.  Good background plant for the woodland garden.  Grown mostly for its attractive foliage.  White flowers are actually radiating stamens with no petals.  Can take full sun in wetter sites.  Male flowers are showier than female flowers.  Attracts bees and butterflies.
