Common Name: Great Indian Plantain
Full to part sun, moderately wet to medium moisture level, loamy or clay soil, neutral to slightly alkaline pH. 3-9 ft. height, blooms summer to early fall, white flowers, freely self-seeds.
Germination Code: C(60); flowers may not appear until second or third year.
Native Region: Scattered statewide, greatest concentration in Middle Tennessee.
Large, substantial plant with showy flowers. Low maintenance. Will naturalize.
