Common Name:  Poke Milkweed

Part to full shade, medium to moderately dry moisture level, rich loam or sandy loam with organic matter, slightly acidic to neutral pH.  3-5 ft. height, blooms in summer, white flowers.

Native Region:  Primarily in Blue Ridge and in Ridge and Valley provinces and also in isolated counties in Middle Tennessee

Attracts butterflies and bees.  Larval food for Monarch butterfly
