Full to part sun, moderately wet to dry moisture level, most soils except clay, slightly acid to neutral pH. 3 ft. height, blooms in summer, yellow flowers, spreads slowly by seed.

Native Region: Blue Ridge Province of east Tennessee, Cumberland Plateau, and Maury County
Legume that likes open, sandy dry woods. Attracts butterflies and bees.
