Common Name: Gray’s Sedge, Common Bur Sedge, Morning Star Sedge
Best in full sun but tolerates light shade, wet to medium moisture level, rich soil, moderately acid to neutral pH. 2-3 feet height, spreads slowly by seed and slowly by rhizomes.

Native Region: Occurs only in Interior Low Plateau
Cool season. One of the more common sedges of moist woodlands. Attracts butterflies.
