Full to part sun, moderately wet to medium moisture level, sand to heavier loam, circumneutral pH.  5 ft. height, blooms in summer, yellow-orange flowers.

Native Region:  Isolated counties in West, Middle and East Tennessee, with greatest concentration in the eastern Ridge and Valley and Blue Ridge provinces

Easy to care for legume, easy to grow from seed.  Attracts birds, bees and butterflies.  Good wild turkey food.
