Common Name:  Large Tickseed

Full to part sun, moderately dry to dry moisture level, most soils but prefers sandy or rocky, adaptable to pH.  2-3 ft. height, blooms in summer, yellow flowers, spreads by self-seeding and stolons.

Well-behaved, dependable plant with large, showy daisy-like flowers. This species of coreopsis has a rhizomatous growth pattern (spreading by underground creeping rootstalks) and is reliably perennial even in clay soils.  It has some susceptibility to diseases. Will naturalize but not considered invasive.  Attracts butterflies and bees.
