Part sun, medium to moderately dry moisture level, sandy or rocky soil, slightly acid pH.  1-2 ft. height, blooms in summer, yellow flowers, spreads both by rhizomes and self-seeding.

Showy flowers with lacy-textured leaves. This species of coreopsis has a rhizomatous growth pattern (spreading by underground creeping rootstalks) and is reliably perennial even in clay soils. Easy to grow. Can spread somewhat aggressively. It is prone to powdery mildew.
