Full to part sun, medium to moderately dry moisture level, fertile rich soil, circumneutral pH. 4-6 ft. height, blooms in summer, gentian blue flowers.

Designated an “Endangered Species” in Tennessee. Showy flowers. Needs protection from strong winds. Attracts birds and butterflies.
