Common Name:  Fringed Bleedingheart

Part sun to light shade, medium to moderately dry moisture level, rich humusy soil, moderately acid pH.  12-18 inches height; blooms spring to mid-summer; rose pink to purplish red flowers; self-sows in a favorable environment and colonizes slowly by rhizomes.

Native Region: Blue Ridge Province

Nodding heart-shaped flowers on fern-like foliage.  Easy to grow. Intolerant of wet soils in winter and dry soils in summer.
