Common Name:  Joe Pye Weed, Spotted Joe Pye Weed

Full to part sun, wet to moderately wet moisture level, tolerant of most soils except rocky.  3-5 ft. height, blooms summer to fall, pinkish lavender flowers, will re-seed.

Germination Code: C(30), D.  Plant thickly as germination is usually low.

Native Region: Limited to six counties in Middle and East Tennessee — Lewis, Coffee, Sequatchie, Blount, Sevier and Carter

Tall bushy plant that is easy to grow from seed and rarely needs staking.  Native to wetlands in Tennessee but will also thrive in rich garden soil.  Attracts butterflies and birds.
