Full sun to shade, moderately wet to moderately dry moisture level, tolerates clay soil.  3-6 ft. height, blooms summer to fall, pink/purple flowers, will naturalize by re-seeding.

Native Region: Statewide, lightly in West Tennessee

Fragrant flowers.  Tolerates drier sites and more shade than other Joe-Pye-Weeds.  Aromatic plant that gives off vanilla scent when crushed.  Easy to grow.  Attracts butterflies and bees.
