Common Name: Sweet Indian Plantain, Groovestem Indian Plantain

Full to part sun, wet to moderately wet moisture level, loamy soil.  7 ft. height, blooms summer to early fall, white flowers, spreads by rhizomes.

Native Region: Stewart, Houston, Humphreys, Perry, Dickson, Lewis, Lawrence, Cheatham, Davidson, and Williamson counties only

Designated a “Threatened Species” in Tennessee.  Wetland plant, sweet-smelling.
