Common Name:  Small-headed Sunflower, Small Woodland Sunflower

Part sun, medium to moderately dry moisture level, very adaptable to soil type, neutral to slightly alkaline pH.  3-6 feet height, blooms late summer and early fall, yellow flowers.

Big, bold attraction for the fall border.  Fine-textured foliage.  Plant has several small blossoms in each inflorescence and multiple flower clusters, resulting in many flowers providing a fall cornucopia of food for the birds. Can be grown in full sun but will likely need supplemental water in a hot, dry August. Attracts birds, bees and butterflies.
