Common Name:  Pale-leafed Sunflower, Paleleaf Woodland Sunflower

Full to part sun, moderately wet to moderately dry moisture level, adaptable to most soils including clay, acidic pH.  3-7 feet height, blooms summer and fall, yellow flowers, spreads aggressively by rhizomes.

Native Region:  Statewide

Relatively easy to grow.  Suckers are easy to weed out and transplant elsewhere.  Best adapted to dappled shade conditions of woodlands.  Attracts birds and bees.
