Common Name: Winged Loosestrife

Full sun, wet to moderately wet moisture level, tolerant of a wide range of soils including heavy clay.  3-4 ft. height, blooms summer to fall, purple flowers, spreads by rhizomes.

Native Region:  Lightly statewide, primarily in the Interior Low Plateau region

Found in all but about 15 states in the U.S., plant is very versatile and adaptable to many locations.  Attracts hummingbirds, bees and butterflies.
