Common Name: Aquatic Milkweed, Swamp Milkweed

Full sun to light shade, wet moisture level, adapted to a wide range of soils including clay, strongly acid to strongly alkaline pH.  18 inches height, blooms spring into early summer, greenish yellow flowers, spreads rapidly by seed.

Aquatic plant that occurs only in wetlands.  Loves quiet shallow water where it may occur in large colonies.
