Common Name: Calico Beardtongue, Longsepal Beardtongue

Full to part sun, moderately wet to medium moisture level, prefers humus-rich soil but adapts to sandy and average soil, adaptable to pH.  2-4 ft. height, blooms late spring to early summer, rose pink flowers, re-seeds readily.

Native Region: Concentrated in Interior Low Plateaus (Highland Rim and Central Basin) plus Fentres and Cumberland counties in the Cumberland Plateau

Adaptable plant with attractive flowers.  Deserves to be grown more often.  Easy to grow and easy from seed.  Attracts bees.
