Common Name: Wild Sweet William, Meadow Phlox
Full to part sun, moderately wet to medium moisture level, prefers fertile soil but will tolerate sandy or clay soils, tolerant of a wide range of pH. 2-3 ft. height, blooms in summer, pinkish purple flowers, will self-seed in optimum growing conditions and also spreads by rhizomes.

Lovely phlox species. Can form large colonies over time. May die down after flowering. Intolerant of drought. More resistant to mildew than other phloxes. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.
