Common Name:  Large-flowered Skullcap, Helmet Flower

Full sun to light shade, moderately wet to medium moisture level, thrives in any soil as long as it is moist.  1-2 feet height, blooms late spring to summer, bluish-lavender flowers, re-seeds aggressively and spreads by rhizomes.

Germination Code: ?.  Seeds need to be dried for 6 months and will germinate in 20-30 days once planted.

Native Region: Statewide but concentrated in eastern half of Tennessee

Once established, this plant should thrive and spread without much additional attention.  Attractive flowers that look like snapdragon flowers.  Attracts bees.
