Full to part sun, moderately dry to dry moisture level, prefers sandy soils but will also grow on coarse gravelly soils.  2-3 feet height, blooms spring into fall, yellow flowers, self-seeds readily

Warm-season bunch grass that usually grows in rather small clumps.  Establishes easily and is widely used for controlling erosion on a wide variety of sites.  Grows best in association with other grasses.  Usually produces an abundant seed crop and re-seeds readily.
