Common Name: Tall Meadow Rue, King of the Meadow

Part shade, wet to moderately wet moisture level, fertile soil, acidic pH.  3-8 feet height, blooms in summer, cream-colored flowers, self-seeds.

Native Region:  Lightly in Middle and East Tennessee

Very showy plant.  Good background plant for the woodland garden.  Grown mostly for its attractive foliage.  White flowers are actually radiating stamens with no petals.  Can take full sun in wetter sites.  Male flowers are showier than female flowers.  Attracts bees and butterflies.
