Common Name:  Ohio Spiderwort, Bluejacket

Full to part sun, moderately wet to dry moisture level, prefers sandy but tolerates clay soil, acidic pH.  2-3 feet height, blooms spring into summer, blue flowers, will naturalize.

Native Region:  Scattered lightly statewide

This is an easy-to-grow, interesting, and long-blooming perennial.  Can become rather bedraggled in mid-summer; cut back to 6-12 inches to encourage new growth and a fall re-bloom.  It can be somewhat aggressive under ideal conditions.  Attracts butterflies and bees.
