Common Name: Catesby’s Trillium, Nodding Rose Trillium, Bashful Wakerobin

Open shade, medium moisture level, humus-rich soil, moderately acid pH.  12-18 inches height, blooms in spring, white/pink/rose flowers, spreads very gradually if left undisturbed.

Native Region: Limited to 7 counties in East Tennessee — Sevier, Blount, Monroe, McMinn, Polk, Marion and Franklin

This is a plant of the southeastern Piedmont and the adjacent Appalachian slopes.  Once established, Bashful Wakerobin will form a clump with an increasing number of flowers.
