Common Name: Wild Oats, Sessile-leaf Bellwort

Part to full shade, medium moisture level, humus-rich soil, acidic pH.  10-15 inches height, blooms in spring, pale yellow flowers, will self-seed.

Native Region: Statewide, lightly in West Tennessee

To establish the plant as a solid groundcover, allow it to seed out each year until it completely fills in.  Delicate foliage goes well with Trilliums.
